A Super Natural Low Fat Recipe

Mexican

Steak and Bean Burrito.

Who doesn't love a burrito?

The only problem is that most burrito's (especially store bought burrito's) are loaded with fat.

So here's a burrito recipe that brings down the fat content by using low fat ingredients and lean meat.

Something we do to shake things up a bit, is use ground, lean turkey from time to time for a varying flavor.

Yum!

Ingredients;

Start with,

1 - 10" tortilla.

1 tsp. burrito seasoning.

5 oz. top round steak (actually the leaner the better), cut into thin strips.

1/4 c. canned fat free refried beans.

1 Tbsp. low fat sour cream.

1/4 c. 2 percent Mexican blend cheese.

1/2 c. chopped romaine lettuce.

1/2 c. pico de gallo, drained.

1 Tbsp. taco sauce.

Preparation;

Preheat your oven to 400°F, wrap the tortilla in foil, and place it in the oven.

Mix the burrito seasoning in a bowl and dredge the steak to coat the meat, then place it in a olive oil coated fry-pan over medium heat.

Brown the steak on both sides.

Meanwhile, warm the refried beans in your microwave on low in 20 second intervals until hot.

Carefully unwrap the tortilla and spread the low fat sour cream down the center, leaving about 1" bare at both ends.

Next, spoon the beans over the low fat sour cream, then the steak, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, and taco sauce.

Fold in the bare ends of the tortilla, then fold in one side and roll the tortilla until all the edges are down.

Makes 1 serving.
